A Twentynine Palms woman has been arrested, accused of willful cruelty to a 3-year-old boy. On Saturday, June 4 investigators from the Sheriff’s Crimes Against Children Detail and Children And Family Services conducted an investigation regarding a three-year-old male victim. The victim was airlifted from Hi Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree to Loma Linda University Medical Center with severe injuries. Doctors determined the injuries were caused by non-accidental trauma, consistent with child abuse.
After investigation, detectives determined Bridget Sample, 44, caused the injuries to the victim over a period of time. Sunday, June 5 Bridget Sample was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for investigation of Torture and Willful Cruelty to a Child, with bail set at of $500,000.
