29 PALMS FELON ARRESTED WITH SHOTGUN AND AMMUNITION

A Twentynine Palms man was arrested Monday, following a search warrant that revealed a shotgun and ammunition. A press release details that on January 3, deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station served a warrant around 8 a.m. at a property on the 6100 block of Daisy Avenue in Twentynine for a wanted felon, Huot Hoa Kuot, 43. During the warrant service, Kuot was taken into custody without incident. During a search of Kuot’s personal belongings, deputies reportedly discovered a 20-gauge shotgun inside of Kuot’s backpack along with several different types of rifle, handgun, and shotgun ammunition. Kuot is reported to have an extensive criminal history and is a convicted felon. Huot Hoa Kuot was booked at the West Valley Detention Center for investigation of being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of ammunition, and his felony warrant where he is being held without bail.
