A Yucca Valley man was arrested Saturday (February 13) after deputies found a concealed handgun on his person. About 8 p.m., deputies say Gerardo Silva, 31, ran a red light at Balsa Avenue and Highway 62 in Yucca Valley. During the investigation, the deputy found a loaded and concealed firearm. Gerardo Silva was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a concealed firearm, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $50,000.

A Yucca Valley man was arrested Saturday (February 13). Deputies were called to a home in the 7600 block of Balsa Avenue in Yucca Valley about 10:20 p.m. where they contacted Casey Myers, 35. Investigators said they found ammunition in his possession; as a convicted felon, Myers is not allowed to possess a firearm or ammunition. Casey Myers was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with his bail set at $35,000.
