MOTORHOME TOTAL LOSS IN FIRE IN YUCCA VALLEY YESTERDAY

Yesterday (October 3) shortly after 6:00 p.m., crews from San Bernardino County Fire were dispatched to a reported motorhome fire in Yucca Valley near Joshua Lane and Acoma Trail. Crews arrived to find a motorhome well involved in flames with fire exposure to nearby vegetation. Crews quickly knocked the fire down in both the motorhome and surrounding vegetation. According to Battalion Chief Mike McClintock, the driver of the motorhome had pulled over after having mechanical difficulties and shortly after found a fire in the engine compartment.
