JOSHUA TREE MAN ACCUSED OF ASSAULT

A Joshua Tree man was arrested Saturday (May 29), accused of assault causing great bodily injury. According to sheriff’s reports, Deputies responded to the 6700 block of Hillview Road in Joshua Tree around 6 p.m. for a report of a domestic disturbance. Arriving deputies contacted Andrew Farquhar, 35, at the residence. Farquhar reportedly slapped a female victim, threw a knife at her, and sprayed her with a fire extinguisher. Andrew Farquhar was arrested for investigation of assault causing great bodily harm and was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with his bail set at $50,000.
