Our very own reporter Andrew Dieleman was honored yesterday with a prestigious academic award at California State University, San Bernardino. Dieleman was selected to receive the academic “Outstanding Student” award from among hundreds of students enrolled in the Communications program at the Palm Desert campus. Dieleman received the award at the CSUSB university symposium award ceremony with more than 200 members of the university’s staff, faculty, and students in attendance. To be eligible for the award, students had to be in excellent academic standings and could only be nominated by university professors in the Communications departments. Andrew Dieleman was unanimously nominated for the award by current Palm Desert Campus Communications professors.
