Z107.7 MORNING SHOW SINGS HAPPY TRAILS TO GARY DAIGNEAULT

Listeners to the Joshua Tree Radio station, Z107.7FM, have noticed some changes being made: new voices, new people, and a shift in news programming. After 32 years of hosting the morning show and anchoring the Z107-7 news, News and Program Director Gary Daigneault is stepping back and taking on more of a consultant role that will result in less airtime. He will be more behind the scenes while still writing news features, editorials, and continuing to host the popular Friday call-in talk show “Up Close”.

Filling Gary’s shoes, Andrew Dieleman has taken the reins as the News Director, Cassidy Taylor anchors the weekend news and will remain on the morning show. Joining the morning show is Cody Joseph and filling in for his mid-day show is Keith Bailey.

Between Z107.7 and a former stint in 29 Palms, Daigneault, an Associated Press Hall of Famer, has been part of Morongo Basin mornings for 42 years. In his civic activities, he will remain active and available at the non-profit Theatre 29, where he is the Board President, and the 29 Palms Rotary Club. He says, “I look forward to sleeping in, spending more time with my Grandkids, and puttering around my Koi Pond. Be assured that Z107-7 will continue to bring you the highest quality in news and entertainment programming.”

As to management, General Manager (and Gary’s wife) Cindy Daigneault remains at the helm of the station as the Daigneault family continues to be part of the Hi-Desert family. Happy trails, Gary, we will miss you on the morning show!
