YVPC CONSIDERS BUSINESS EXTERIOR CHANGES, JOSHUA TREE REMOVAL AT TONIGHT’S MEETING

Two Yucca Valley businesses will be bringing proposed changes to their building’s exterior at tonight’s Yucca Valley Planning Commission meeting. For a closer look at their agenda, we go to Jef Harmatz…

At tonight’s regularly scheduled meeting, the commission will consider a new proposal for modified signage and exterior colors for Walmart’s Yucca Valley location. The commission requested revisions to Walmart’s original plan that take into account the location’s unique geography. Awe Bar, a music venue located in the 5600 block of Twentynine Palms Highway, is also proposing a color change to their exterior. The commission will consider the transplant of 10 Western Joshua Trees in the 58000 block of Sunnyslope Drive and the encroachment of four Western Joshua Tree (in the 7400 block of Church St, the 57000 block of Redondo St, the 7600 block of Inca Trail, and the 7300 block of Aster Ave) across town.

The meeting will be held tonight at 6 p.m. at the Yucca Valley Community Center, and can be attended online via the link below.
