The Yucca Valley High School wrestling team is continuing to improve. The girls beat Indio Thursday (December 2) in a league match 54 to 12 with strong performances from Lacy Tavzel and Miah Weldon. The boys had a tough loss scoring 30 points to their 48. Roy Lara and Ayden O’Brien got their first wins with strong performances from Eric vera, Jesse Granger, and Dice Marchioni. Both the girls and boys beat Desert Hot Springs High School also on December 2. The girls had a score of 54 to 12 and boys had a score of 48 to 27 with strong performances from Ashley barber, David Gutierrez, Jesse Granger, Simon beach, and Dice Marchioni.
The Trojan wrestling team will next face Coachella Valley High School on December 9 at home beginning at 5 p.m.
