It was a great weekend for the Yucca Valley High School Trojan wrestling team. Six of the girls became league champions in their weight; Ashley Barber, Asia Rialmo, Adelina Rialmo, Malerie Trevino, Miah Weldon, and Lacy Tavzel. For the boys, Ayden O’Brien and David Gutierrez became league champions at their weight class. The results mean that the girls will claim the overall league title, having been undefeated in league duals and having more league champions than any other school in the league. Overall, the Trojans will send 13 wrestlers to advance to the CIF individuals tournament on February 11 and 12.
