YVHS WRESTLING BACK IN ACTION

The Yucca Valley High School wrestling team broke off the rust after not wrestling for two years with two back-to-back non-league matches. The young team faced Shadow Hills at home on November 15. The girls were able to score 24 points against a tough Shadow Hills team that scored 60 points. Ashley barber, Adelina Rialmo, Miah Weldon, and Lacy Tavzel were able to pin their opponent. The boys wrestled tough but gave up 84 points. On November 16, the team had an away match against Rancho Mirage High School. Showing improvement, the girls were able to score 18 points against Rancho Mirage’s 48 points. Adelina Rialmo, Miah Weldon, and Lacy Tavzel were again able to pin their opponent. Boys were able to score 24 points against Rancho Mirage’s 45 points. Jesse Granger, Eric Vera, and Simon Beach were able to pin their opponent.
