The Yucca Valley High School boys’ soccer team held their final matchup of the season last night (February 2), hosting Indio at home. Junior Varsity lost 3 to 1, with the only goal scored by Junior Captain Midfielder Carter Green. The team played well and the player of the match was Freshman Defender Alexander Komier, for his never quit attitude and his team leadership. Sophomore Goalkeeper JT Alexander had 14 saves in the game.
Varsity tied 3 to 3. The first goal was scored by Senior Forward Logan Barth from an assist by Senior Sebastion Hill. The second goal was scored by Senior Sebastion Hill from an assist by Logan Barth. The third goal was scored by Senior Captain Defender Jake Fenenoz by an assist from Freshman Midfielder Adrian Tamayo.
The Player of the match was Senior Captain Jake Fenenoz who played a great game. Coach Rodriguez said Jake always has a very positive attitude and always works hard, his effort was rewarded by scoring a goal in the game. Senior Captain Goalkeeper Landon Gradilla had 16 saves in the match.
This was the last game of the Trojan soccer season and the coaching staff wants to thank all the students, parents, supporters and school administration for all their hard work and effort.
