Yucca Valley High School track athletes came back from Thursday’s De Anza League qualifier at Shadow Hills with wins, records, and honors. Teyana Poole and Haemish O’Donnell were each named DeAnza League MVP’s for the 2013 Track season. Teyana capped off a stellar career by winning all 4 of her events and Haemish won 2 out of 3, while placing 2nd in the 100 meters. Haemish also set the school records in both the 100 meters and 200 meters running 10.94 and 22.07.
Other first team all league athletes were Lacey Rexroat, Mariah Muchtar, Katelyn Wood, Aaliyah Williams, Brian McGowan, Trevor Gorwin, Logan Vallo, William Perrance, & Daniel Magennis. Up next for the Trojans are the division 3 prelims at Estancia High School on May 11.
