The Yucca Valley High school is bringing us “The Emperor’s New Clothes,” a musical comedy, Directed by Scott Phillips and adaptation and original score by Jessica McClintock, who explains her story.”We stuck pretty close to the original story, but it’s surrounded by a lot of other characters.” It begins in the land of Washingland, which is ruled by the fashion crazed Emperor, played by senior, Cody Paquin. With the help of his friends Stiches, played by junior, Vivan Chow and aided by Sewphia, portrayed by junior Aimee Frank, the audience learns the important lesson of being true to ones self. The musical runs May 8th thru May 11th, at 6:00 PM, in the Yucca Valley High School (MPR.)
