On Friday night (January 7), the Yucca Valley High School Lady Trojans Soccer team matched up against Indio in their first game back from winter vacation. The Lady Trojans held the Rajas with a score of 0-1, Rajas in the lead going into the second half. The teams were well-matched, and the Lady Trojans started out strong displaying great ball control and teamwork. Toward the start of the second half, the Trojans scored their first goal of the game. Right Center Midfielder Sarah Krenelka (#5) also deserves recognition for displaying the drive needed to win, she gave 100% on the field. With great ball control in the center field, she made plays happen for her teammates and never let off the pressure.
