YV PLANNING COMMISSION TO DISCUSS ENCROACHMENT UPON AND REMOVAL OF JOSHUA TREES, ZONING VARIANCES

The Yucca Valley Planning Commission meets tonight to discuss issues related to Joshua Trees and residential zoning. Reporter Jef Harmatz has a breakdown of their agenda.

At tonight’s regularly scheduled meeting, the planning commission will consider approvals for the encroachment of eight Western Joshua Trees (at the 7200 block of Sage Ave, the 55000 block of Mountain View Trail,) and the removal of four dead detached Western Joshua Trees (at the 6400 block of Airway Ave, the 7500 block of Cherokee Trail, the 57000 block of Saint Mary’s Drive). The commission will also hold a public hearing on two residential zoning matters, both of which are variances on yard setbacks, in the 6700 block of Lindberg Lane and 53000 block of Ridge Road. As always, the commission welcomes public comments on all town planning matters. The meeting begins tonight (October 26) at 6 p.m. and will be held at the Yucca Valley Community Center. The meeting can also be attended online, via the link below.
