YUCCA VALLEY WRESTLING BEATS DESERT HOT SPRINGS

Wednesday night was a great night for the Yucca Valley High School wrestling team as the boys and girls varsity wrestling teams beat Desert Hot Springs High School in the first home duel  match.

Coach Patrick Francis said the girls lead with a 27 to 9 victory. Adelina Rialmo started the girls off by pinning her opponent. Boys followed up with a 51 to 24 victory. John Cruz, Seth Holmes, Jeremy Land, and Dice Marchioni all pinned their opponents. Chris Davis also won his match. The whole team wrestled tough and are constantly improving. The wrestling team will host Cathedral city High School Wednesday at home at 5 p.m. Francis said, “It should be a tough match for us.”
