YUCCA VALLEY WOMAN WITH NUMEROUS WARRANTS ACCUSED OF BRINGING DRUGS INTO THE MORONGO BASIN JAIL

A Yucca Valley woman with multiple Sheriff’s warrants was arrested Wednesday (August 4) accused of bring drugs into the Morongo Basin Jail. According to Sheriff’s reports, Deputies conducted a vehicle check near the intersection of Aster Avenue and Joshua Drive in Yucca Valley around 10 a.m. Deputies discovered that the driver, Melissa Fisher, 33, had three Sheriff’s warrants totaling $325,000. Fisher was arrested and transported to the Morongo Basin Jail. During a search, Deputies located suspected methamphetamine in Fisher’s possession. Fisher was taken to Hi-Desert Medical center for a jail check, then was arrested on her warrants for being under the influence of a controlled substance and being in possession of a switchblade knife and methamphetamine, and for investigation of bringing drugs into a jail facility. She was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $25,000.
