YUCCA VALLEY WOMAN KILLED IN JOSHUA TREE CAR VERSUS PEDESTRIAN CRASH IDENTIFIED

The Coroner’s office has identified the Yucca Valley woman who was killed as she tried to cross the highway in Joshua Tree Saturday morning. Brenna Hampson, 20, was standing in the fast lane of eastbound Highway 62 about 6:15 a.m., east of Whitefeather Road. Hampson was attempting to cross the highway northbound when she was struck by a 2004 Ford pick up truck, driven by Raymond Wall, 67, of Cabazon. Brenna Hampson sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
