A woman with a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit was arrested in Yucca Valley Sunday evening. According to a police report, Heather Madeiros, 25, was seen driving erratically on Indio Avenue and the Outer Highway in Yucca Valley about 8 p.m. The deputy reported that two open and one cold, unopened containers of alcohol were found inside her Ford Escort. Field sobriety tests determined her blood alcohol content was .17 and .18, more than twice the legal limit of .08. Heather Madeiros was arrested on two counts for investigation of driving under the influence, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, where she was released about 7:30 Monday morning.
