A Yucca Valley woman was arrested Monday (December 13) for nearly a dozen misdemeanor warrants, while receiving another misdemeanor. On December 13 shortly before 8 p.m., Sheriff deputies contacted Shavawn Christian, 34, near Warren Vista Avenue and Highway 62 in Yucca Valley and according to Sheriff logs, Christian was found in violation of health and safety codes in regard to possession of controlled substances. When checking Christian’s information, deputies discovered 11 different misdemeanor warrants totaling $725,000. The warrants were all for either possession of controlled substances or drug paraphernalia. Shavawn Christian was subsequently arrested and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail where she was released a few hours later.
