YUCCA VALLEY WOMAN ARRESTED FOR PROBATION VIOLATIONS

A Yucca Valley woman who pleaded guilty to a strong arm robbery earlier this year was arrested Thursday for violating her probation. Sandra Shorer, 30, went to the Stater Brothers grocery story February 1, and attempted to leave the store without paying for items she had concealed in her backpack. A store employee tried to stop her, and Shorer threw a punch at the employee. Shorer pleaded guilty in March and was sentenced to 45 days in jail, and three years’ probation. Since then, Shorer has been back to court in May and June for probation violations, with her jail time increased to 180 days. On Thursday, Sandra Shorer was arrested again on warrants for the shoplifting charges, and booked into the Morongo Basin Jail with her bail set at $260,000.
