A Yucca Valley woman was arrested late Tuesday night, accused of identity theft. According to a Sheriff’s report, Deputy Chris Jones made a traffic stop for a broken brake light just before midnight near Yucca Trail and Alta Avenue in Joshua Tree. The driver and sole occupant of the car Jilleen Davidson, 26, said she didn’t have her driver’s license and was on probation. During a search of her car, Jones found mail and bank checks inside the car that belonged to someone else. He contacted the person on the paperwork who confirmed she had been a victim of identity theft. Jilleen Davidson was arrested for investigation of identity theft, for violation of her parole, and on a warrant for identity theft, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, and is being held without bail.
