YUCCA VALLEY WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER HIGH-SPEED PURSUIT

A Yucca Valley woman was arrested late Monday night after she fled from deputies who attempted to make a traffic stop. Deputies tried to pull over Randi Muncy, 29, for having a broken tail light about 11:15 p.m. near Highway 62 and Marvin Drive in Yucca Valley. Muncy sped off; deputies said she was driving without due regard for the safety of others. Eventually, her vehicle became stuck in soft sand and she tried to flee on foot, but deputies found Muncy in the area. Randi Muncy was arrested for investigation of felony failure to yield, and on numerous drug-related warrants, and on a vehicle theft warrant. She was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with her bail set at $100,000.
