YUCCA VALLEY WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER CRASHING IN DESERT

A Yucca Valley woman was arrested Monday (February 28) for failing to yield to deputies and violating her bail. On February 28, shortly before 6 a.m., a Sheriff’s deputy attempted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Nena-merai Bustillos, 21, for lane weaving. According to Sheriff’s logs, Bustillos failed to yield to the deputy and allegedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed it into the desert. Bustillos was out on bail following a search warrant served on February 23 that found Fentanyl and resulted in five people being arrested. Bustillos was charged with investigation of possession of controlled substance while armed and possession of narcotics for sales at the time. Nena-merai Bustillos was subsequently arrested for investigation of felony failure to yield and committing another felony while out on bail for a separate felony charge.
