YUCCA VALLEY WOMAN ACCUSED OF TRANSPORTING METH

A Yucca Valley woman was arrested early Friday morning (July 16) accused of transporting methamphetamine. According to Sheriff’s reports, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Sage Avenue and Yucca Trail in Yucca Valley around midnight for vehicle code violations. The deputy determined the driver, Marla Oberlin, 60, was on probation for sale of a controlled substance. During a probation compliance check, the deputy located one ounce of suspected methamphetamine. Marla Oberlin was arrested for investigation of transportation of a controlled substance and was booked into the West Valley Detention Center with her bail set at $50,000.
