YUCCA VALLEY WOMAN ACCUSED OF THREATENING TO KILL HER BOYFRIEND

A Yucca Valley woman was arrested Saturday, accused of threatening to kill her ex-boyfriend. According to a Sheriff’s report, the victim has a restraining order against Maria Aversa, 40. About 4:30 Saturday, the victim watched via his home surveillance system as Aversa left a note at his front door in the 8800 block of Rubidoux Avenue in Yucca Valley and then drove off in a white pick-up truck. The victim told deputies that he was in his front yard about 6:15 p.m. that same evening when Aversa, in a blue Ford sedan, stopped in front of his driveway and yelled at him that she was going to get a gun and kill him, and that she didn’t care if she loses her job or her car. The victim called deputies who went to Aversa’s home in the 56700 block of Antelope Trail to question her. When Aversa saw deputies at her front door, she attempted to flee out a window, but she was caught after a short pursuit. Maria Aversa was arrested for investigation of making criminal threats, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with her bail set at $50,000.
