YUCCA VALLEY WOMAN ACCUSED OF STABBING BOYFRIEND IN ARM

A Yucca Valley woman was arrested Thursday, accused of stabbing her boyfriend in the arm. According to a Sheriff’s report, on Wednesday, Roberta Lopez, 38, suspected that her boyfriend was cheating on her and as the two wrestled over his cell phone, Lopez allegedly bit him in the shoulder. When the man left the room, he told deputies Lopez followed him, jumped on his back, and wrapped a sock around his neck, cutting off his air supply. He was able to loosen the sock, and when he turned around, Lopez had a steak knife, which she used to stab him in his left bicep. He said she also punched him in the face. Roberta Lopez was arrested for investigation of assault with serious injuries and booked into the West Valley Detention Center with her bail set at $100,000.
