A Yucca Valley woman was arrested Saturday after a man said she stabbed him in the face with a fork. Deputies were called to the 6800 block of Adobe Road in Twentynine Palms about 7:30 p.m. for an altercation. The resident said that Yvonna Ausman, 29, forced her way into his mobile home, grabbed a fork and stabbed him in the face with it. He locked himself in a room and called for help. The woman was not at the scene when deputies arrived. After they left, the woman returned, and the victim called deputies again. Deputies returned and arrested Yvonna Ausman on suspicion of assault with a weapon, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with her bail set at $50,000.
