YUCCA VALLEY WOMAN ACCUSED OF IDENTITY THEFT, BURGLARY

A Yucca Valley woman was arrested Wednesday, after deputies found her with stolen checks and identification. According to a Sheriff’s report, a deputy contacted Christina Godfrey, 31, in the 6500 block of Eucalyptus Avenue in Twentynine Palms about 10 a.m. Godfrey, who has convictions for vehicle theft, robbery, receiving stolen property, and identity theft, is on felony parole, and during a search of Godfrey’s purse and car, the deputy found stolen checks, identification, and court paperwork belonging to three different women who had reported burglaries earlier. Christina Godfrey was booked into West Valley Detention Center and is being held without bail for violating her parole. Godfrey was released from jail and her parole hold dropped on Saturday, April 27.
