YUCCA VALLEY WOMAN ACCUSED OF GETTING 3-YEAR-OLD HIGH ON THC

We have more information about the Yucca Valley woman who was arrested last week, accused of child endangerment. On Wednesday, August 22, a 3-year-old girl was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center when a family member discovered she was in an altered state of consciousness. At the hospital, the 3-year-old tested positive for THC, the principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis. The girl became unresponsive and was taken to Loma Linda University Medical Center where she was hospitalized and later discharged to a family member. Investigators determined that the girl lived at a home in the 7100 block of Barberry Avenue with her aunt, Yaniece Marbury, 23. Following an investigation, Yaniece Marbury was arrested August 23 on suspicion of willful cruelty to a child, and booked at the Central Detention Center, with her bail set at $100,000. On Friday, August 24, Marbury was released on her own recognizance pending a future court date.
