A Yucca Valley woman was arrested last week in Needles after she overdosed while taking care of her child. According to a Sheriff’s report, police were called to the 900 block of Coronado Street in Needles about 10:45 p.m. Sunday for a possible overdose. Police determined that Danielle Pope, 25, was under the influence of a controlled substance while she was caring for her child. Pope was taken to the Colorado River Medical Center for treatment. When Danielle Pope was released from the hospital, she was arrested for investigation of child endangerment and booked into the Needles Jail, with her bail set at $25,000.
