A Yucca Valley woman was arrested late Monday night, accused of punching and kicking a child. According to a Sheriff’s report, deputies were called to the 7800 block of Valley Vista in Yucca Valley about 3:15 p.m. Monday for a report that someone stole a stereo from the home. When deputies arrived, they were told a boy had been kicked and punched by Dorthy Lane, 32. After an investigation, Dorthy Lane was arrested on suspicion of felony child cruelty, booked into the Morongo Basin Jail, with her bail set at $100,000.
