YUCCA VALLEY WOMAN ACCUSED OF ASSAULT AND ROBBERY

A Yucca Valley woman was arrested Friday, accused of assaulting another woman and stealing her cell phone. Just before noon Friday, deputies were called to the Circle K gas station on Old Woman Springs Road in Yucca Valley for a fight. Deputies determined that the victim approached

Carey Dailey, also known as Carey Brewster, 42, who was in a car. Dailey got out of the vehicle and hit the victim, giving her minor injuries to the back of her head, before Dailey took her cell phone and left the scene. Employees gave the license plate number to deputies who tracked down Dailey’s boyfriend, who was the vehicle’s owner. Dailey soon showed up and allegedly admitting to hitting the woman and stealing her phone. The victim told deputies she was in fear for her life while she was being assaulted. Carey Dailey was arrested on suspicion of strong-arm robbery, booked into the West Valley Detention Center, with her bail set at $100,000.
