YUCCA VALLEY WALMART CLOSED FOR EIGHT HOURS FOLLOWING EVACUATION DUE TO REFRIGERANT LEAK

Many Morongo Basin residents had to make alternative shopping plans yesterday (August 12) when they learned that the Yucca Valley Walmart was closed. The store was evacuated around 8:30 a.m. due to a broken refrigerant pipe. Technicians soon arrived on scene to repair the broken pipe and air the refrigerant gas out of the store. The store reopened to customers around 4:30 p.m.
