Yucca Valley High School boy’s basketball hosted Banning last night. Varsity lost 47-76 (3-2 in league); junior varsity won 70-63 (5-0 in league.)
High varsity scorers were Luke Yakimow, 12 points; Andre McGee, 10 points, six rebounds; and Noah Roy, seven points.
Junior varsity high scorers were Demar Smith, 21 points, four steals. Cooper Hopton, Aidan Gamboa, and Marcos Jimenez made 12 points each. Tua Kakalia scored 11 points with five rebounds.
The teams play at Indio on Friday January 10.
