The Yucca Valley pool opens Monday, June 17, with a choice of water activities. Water aerobics start at 7 a.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays through August 9. There are morning and evening sessions for lap swimming: Monday through Friday at 8 a.m., and 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. The pool is open for fun swim on Mondays and Thursdays from 1 to 5 p.m., and two Saturday sessions have been added for family fun swims: July 20 and August 10, from 11 to 3. Admission is $4, but swim passes are $30 for 10 admissions, and may be used for water aerobics, lap swim, and fun swim. The passes can be purchased at the pool or the community center.
The Twentynine Palms community pool in Luckie Park is open 1 to 5 p.m. every day through September 1. Admission is $3, $1.50 for seniors, or a 20-visit pass for $35. Adult lap swim is Monday through Friday at 11:30 through August 23. Admission to lap swim is $1.50, or a season pass for $30. For more information, call 760-367-5777.
