The Yucca Valley High School Trojans girls varsity tennis team lost to Indio 6-12 on Wednesday (September 21). In Singles, Abby Aubuchon was 6-2,6-2, 6-0; Lacy Tazel was 6-0 and in doubles, Samantha Hall and Madison Dillon won 6-1, 6-1. The team was short a doubles team.
Coach Cindy Miller said, “The girls battled the whole match.” The team of Samantha Hall and Madison Dillon was down 0-4 in their first match to stage a comeback but came up short to lose 4-6.
The team is now 3-3 and in 4th place. The team’s next game will be on Monday (September 20) at Desert Hot Springs.
