After a short summer hiatus, the Yucca Valley Town Council will hold a routine meeting tonight. Managing editor Tami Roleff tells us what’s on tonight’s agenda…
Among the items on tonight’s consent agenda, the Yucca Valley Town Council will be asked to rejects three claims filed against the town. Council members will also be asked to increase the street sweeping contract to $90,000, from $40,000; and award a contract for the re-design of the town’s website. Other items on the agenda include a presentation from the building and safety department and the appointment of a new planning commissioner. And since council member Rick Denison is running unopposed in the November election, the council will officially appoint him to his seat on the council. Following the regular meeting, the council will go into closed session to discuss whether it should initiate litigation in three cases. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
