Tonight’s meeting of the Yucca Valley Town Council will start with a closed session at 5:30 p.m. during which the council will conference with legal counsel over potential litigation. The regular meeting starts at 6 with a presentation from the California Office of Emergency Services on earthquake education and awareness. Then following a routine consent agenda, the council will hear an update from the California Welcome Center. The council will then discuss whether to pass a resolution to support or oppose Measure J or K, measures that revise the county’s charter. Town staff are recommending support of Measure J. And finally, the council will hear a year-end budget report.

Tonight’s meeting will be available online or in person in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
