YUCCA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL TO SET DATE FOR MEDICAL MARIJUANA VOTE

After being introduced to new firefighters working for the town and hearing an update on the sewer project from the Hi-Desert Water District, the Yucca Valley Town Council will be asked to set a special election date of June 15 to vote on the proposed medical marijuana ordinance. Next, the council will be asked to approve a contract for $42,100 with a Berkeley company to review classifications of town employees and their compensation levels. Finally, the council will go into closed session to discuss pending litigation against the Best Western Yucca Valley Hotel and Suites. The meeting starts at 6:00 in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
