Tonight (December 21), the Yucca Valley Town Council will hold public hearings to discuss changes to the town’s zoning language and receive an update on the status of the airport. With a full rundown of the agenda, here’s reporter Jef Harmatz.
At tonight’s regularly scheduled meeting, the Council will consider several changes to the town’s housing and zoning codes in order to clarify distinctions between campgrounds and hotels, and redefine what constitutes a single-family dwelling. The council will receive a thorough update on the Yucca Valley Airport and the special district that operates the airport, as part of the town’s ongoing effort to make improvements to the facility. The council will also vote on a resolution to begin work on the proposed aquatics facility and renovations to the Yucca Valley Senior Center. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. tonight at the Yucca Valley Community Center, and can also be attended online via the link below.
