YUCCA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL TO DISCUSS REDISTRICTING, STRATEGIC PLAN, AND WALMART SIGNAGE

The Yucca Valley Town Council meets tonight, and on their agenda are public hearings related to redistricting and their strategic plan for the next few years. Reporter Jef Harmatz has a full preview of the meeting.

At tonight’s regularly scheduled meeting, the town council will hold another public hearing on the redrawing of district boundaries based on 2020 census data. There will also be an update on the status of the redistricting. The council will consider the town’s strategic plan for fiscal years 2022-2024, and receive a comprehensive financial report for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2021. And finally, the council will hold a public hearing regarding Walmart’s request to alter exterior colors and signage at their Highway 62 store. The council will meet tonight at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Valley Community Center, and the public is encouraged to attend in person or online via the link below.
