The Yucca Valley Town Council meets in regular session tonight. After a truck sale and budget amendments, the Council will take up the controversial issue of regulating vacation home rentals. Managing Editor Tami Roleff checks the agenda…
Following a presentation from the Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, the Yucca Valley Town Council will be asked to reject a claim filed against the town by Salomon Valdez, approve the sale of a 1995 Chevy truck as surplus property, and amend the town’s budget to include $17,000 for the Hi-Desert Nature Museum and $22,000 for the Desert Regional Tourism Agency. Council members will then be asked to give policy direction to staff and the planning commission on vacation home rentals in town limits. The council will then go into closed session for negotiations on three properties, and to discuss potential litigation. Tonight’s meeting is set for 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
