The Yucca Valley Town Council will discuss costs to connect town buildings to the sewer project and the possibility of amending the sign ordinance. Managing editor Tami Roleff has the details…
Among the items on the agenda for tonight’s meeting of the Yucca Valley Town Council is an overview of the $1 million the town will have to pay to the Hi-Desert Water District in connection fees and assessments when it connects to the sewer system. And because of the controversy earlier this year over a request by Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel for a variance for its electronic sign in a residential neighborhood, the planning commission is asking the council for permission to revise the town’s sign ordinance. Other items include votes on resolutions put out by the California League of Cities, and approval of a $40,000 contract for market analysis. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center, and will be immediately followed by a closed session meeting to discuss potential litigation.
