The Yucca Valley Town Council should have a short meeting tonight. Among the items on the agenda, the Council will recognize the employee of the quarter. On the consent agenda, the Council will be asked to certify the election results, approve a lease agreement for the library between the town and the county library, receive a report on the point-in-time homeless count, and authorize the purging of town records. Next up, the newly elected council members will be sworn in, after which the council will select a new mayor and mayor pro tem. The meeting starts at 6:00 in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
