At tonight’s meeting of the Yucca Valley Town Council, the Council will first certify the results of the special election from March 5, and then swear in newly elected council member Bob Leone. Among the items in the consent agenda, the council will be asked to approve an application for off-highway vehicle grant funds, approve a cost-distribution agreement between CalTrans and the Town, and amend the 2013-14 budget. The Council will then appoint a council member to fill a vacant seat on the Sewer Financing Ad-Hoc committee, and hear reports on federal awards and on the Mid-Town Master Land Use Vision and Mobility plan. Following the regular session, the Council will go into closed session to discuss potential litigation against the town, and labor negotiations. Tonight’s meeting will be held in the Yucca Room of the Community Center starting at 6 p.m.
