After being off for a month, the Yucca Valley Town Council has a busy agenda for its meeting tonight. Following a consent agenda, in which it will be asked to reject a claim filed against the town by Rachel Hancock, the council will hold a public hearing for levying annual assessments on a drainage, landscape, and lighting maintenance district for Warren Vista Center, Dollar General, and the Super Wal-Mart. The council will then be asked to approve a $23,000 contract for a traffic safety and circulation analysis. Next, the council will be asked to approve an ordinance to expedite permits for small residential rooftop solar systems. Other contracts up for approval are landscape maintenance for medians, replacing HVAC equipment, and developing standards for height limitations for wireless communication towers. In closed session, the council members will discuss existing litigation against Mirage Front Properties, Best Western Yucca Valley, and Frank Lindsay. The meeting will be held at 6:00 in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley Community Center.
