The Yucca Valley Town Council will hold its regular meeting tonight. The meeting will start with a workshop at 5 p.m. The County fire department will give a presentation on fire safety and defensible space, followed by a presentation on National Park Conservation Association Desert Renewable Energy Conservation plan. The regular meeting will start at 6 p.m. Among the items on the consent agenda, the council will be asked to accept the third quarter budget report; reject a claim against the Town; and award a contract for playground improvements. The Council will then hold a public hearing on vacating easements at Dumosa and the Highway, and four public hearings on amendments to the development code on the housing element. Finally, the council will name delegates to the League of California Cities annual conference. The meeting will be held in the Yucca Room of the community center.
