YUCCA VALLEY TOWN COUNCIL MEETS TONIGHT: POOL, BUDGET AND A 5-YEAR PLAN

After presentations by the Boys and Girls Club and a season recap of the community services department, the Yucca Valley Town Council consent agenda includes an approval of the lease agreement for the swimming pool between the town and the Morongo Unified School District. Under department reports, the council will receive an update on the emergency management strategic plan. The Council will then discuss its budget surplus of $540,000. Staff recommends that the council transfer $400,000 to be used on infrastructure and facility improvements, and $140,000 to the CalPers Pension Retirement fund. Finally, the council will discuss a five-year plan for Measure I capital improvement funds. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the Yucca Room of the Yucca Valley community Center.
